Hearts To Host Kotoko On Prez Cup-1st july

Accra Hearts of Oak could defend their President cup title against sworn rivals Asante Kotoko.

The two biggest club will square off at the Accra sports stadium
on Friday, July 1 for the converted trophy.
The annual ceremonial match played to honour the sitting president is usually organised on Ghana League Club's Association (GHALCA).
Accra Hearts of Oak have won the cup back to back at the expenses of  Medeama in 2014 and Kotoko last year.

The annual President’s Cup competition, played on Republic Day, is set to come off later today.
The nation’s two most storied sides, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, clash in a fierce head to head for the right to cart home the glittering trophy.

The pair met in the same fixture for last year’s President’s Cup, Hearts of Oak winning on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time.
Hearts, who recently parted ways with Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi, would be hoping for a repeat of the feat, whilst the Asante Kotoko would be in search for revenge.
In their only meeting so far this season, the Porcupine Warriors won the Super Clash 1-0 in Accra.
The game kicks off at 1500 GMT.
