Juventus target Javier Mascherano as midfield replacement

TOP STORY: Juve wants Mascherano if Pogba goes

Paul Pogba has been the dominant figure in the summer's transfer speculation whirl so far -- but those weary of his name will be
happy to know today's lead for Transfer Talk one isn't completely about him.
It's to do with who might replace the France international at Juventus if he goes to Manchester United or Real Madrid -- and the main name in the frame is Javier Mascherano, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.
The Serie A champions want the Barcelona man to fill the large gap that would be left in their midfield by a £100 million or so Pogba move.
Corriere dello Sport says that Argentina international Mascherano, once of West Ham and Liverpool, could be tempted to Juve despite having voiced a desire to stay at Barcelona.
But just in case he isn't, other names in the frame include Chelsea's Nemanja MaticMateo Kovacic of Real Madrid and Inter's Marcelo Brozovic.
